On Sunday evening, 09/18/2011, at approximately 6:30 PM, Deputies with the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office responded to a private residence on Carlos Road in Frostburg for a reported strong arm robbery. When they arrived they were advised by the elderly couple who resided there that an unknown male suspect had entered their residence and removed an unspecified sum of cash from the residence before fleeing.

According to the couple, the suspect entered the residence unannounced. He approached the female resident and pushed her down into a chair. He then contacted the male resident and shoved him to the ground before entering another room and removing the cash. The suspect then fled on foot.

The suspect was described as a younger white male, 5-06 to 5-08 in height, and 170 to 180 pounds in weight. He was wearing all dark colored clothing, and had mud or dirt smeared on his face to try to conceal his identity.

A Maryland State Police K-9 and the Medevac helicopter “Trooper 5” also responded. A search of the area by land and air was conducted, but the suspect was not located at that time.

Investigators with the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) also responded to assist with the investigation. The crime scene was processed by the Maryland State Police Evidence Collection Unit.
