The summer tourism season is underway, and while thousands will visit Allegany County to ride the steam engine and to hike and bike the Allegheny Passage- there are any number of other highlights including the growing Allegany Museum in downtown Cumberland. Gary Bartik, museum curator, says the museum serves as a show house of Western Maryland history and heritage.
