Supermarket strike averted

Hundreds of supermarket workers have voted on a new 3 year contract that changes some of their health care coverage.   And who pays for it.  Members of the United Food and Commercial Workers union locals had voted to authorize a strike around the Baltimore area had their concerns about those benefits not been addressed. Apparently those concerns were given attention by Giant and Safeway management. The two votes yesterday were overwhelming to accept the new deal.
