On 9/10/15, Deputies from the Allegany County Sheriff's Office located and arrested Matthew Philip Scarpelli (30 years old, Cumberland) at a private residence in Frostburg. SCARPELLI was wanted for theft under $1,000 following an investigation by the Sheriff's Office and also wanted for 2nd degree assault following an investigation by the Cumberland City Police.
Following an initial appearance in front of a District Court Commissioner, SCARPELLI was ordered held on $1,500 for the assault charge and $7,500 on the theft charge. SCARPELLI was transferred to the custody of the Allegany County Detention Center pending his next court appearance.
