On 01/23/2012, at approximately 11:40 PM, the Frostburg Police responded to a private residence on Hawthorne Drive in Frostburg after being contacted by a witness about a possible burglary at a private residence. According to the witness, they first noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in a neighbor’s driveway, and then observed a male suspect run from the residence and get into the vehicle, which was being operated by a female driver.

While the Officer was interviewing the witness, the home owner arrived home and explained that he had been gone for just a short period of time. Upon entering the residence, the owner discovered that someone had been in the residence, and opened drawers and strewn papers around the bedroom, apparently looking for items of value. After looking further through the residence, the victim advised police that an antique rifle was missing from the residence. A description of the missing rifle was provided to the police.

The witness was able to provide police with a description of the vehicle, the male suspect, and a possible identity of the female suspect. Investigators with the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) interviewed several witnesses. With the descriptions provided and the information developed, Investigators were able to obtain a search warrant for the suspect’s residence.

Investigators executed the search warrant with the assistance of the Maryland State Police. As a result, information was obtained that the rifle had been thrown out. It was recovered later where it had been discarded by the suspects.

Investigators obtained arrest warrants for the two suspects. On 01/26/2012 members of the C3I Warrant/Fugitive Unit arrested 23 year old Justin Tyler Andrews and 21 year old Lacey Jean Getson, both of Corriganville, and charged them both with Burglary and Theft.

Andrews was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance, and is currently being held at the Allegany County Detention Center without bond until his next court appearance.

Getson is also being held at the Allegany County Detention Center, after her initial appearance, on $35,000.00 bond, pending her next court appearance.
