It’s been a long time in the making, but Allegany County is finally on the verge of having an updated, revised set of regulations pertaining to tattoo’s and body piercings. A hearing on the more stringent regulations is planned for the next meeting of the county commissioners, set for 5 p.m. September 17. At that time, members of the public, tattoo shop owners, artists and others will be able to offer their comments on the proposed regulations. Misty Joy with the Allegany County Health Department says that the current regulations are outdated and that the new regulations would update and clarify sterilization and other sanitary procedures in the industry…
