Creating a manufacturing jobs initiative that would benefit Western Maryland and other economically distressed regions in the state continues to be a priority of Governor Larry Hogan. The plan to provide tax incentives for businesses has also been the focus of State Senator George Edwards for more than two years- but those efforts have fallen short, failing to get approval in the last two general assembly sessions.
