On Saturday, June 29, 2019, at 7:41 pm, the Cumberland Police responded to a business on Henderson Avenue at Frederick Street for a destruction of property complaint.
An officer who was in the immediate area pulled behind the business and observed James Johnson, age 27 of Texas, spray painting the rear of the business. Johnson was placed under arrest and charged with malicious destruction of property over $1000.
Johnson was later taken to District Court for his Initial Appearance and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on $2000 bond.
