Although the organization’s name changed almost three years ago- the mission for the “League- A Children’s Place”, remains the same.  Formerly known as the The League for Crippled Children- a name change was enacted in September of 2011 to become more user friendly for children and families. That’s according to League President Mary Ann ReinhardInc. will change its operational name to The League — A Children’s Place. She says the organization’s mission continues to be to provide free care to children with disabilities. It is one of the non profits that received funding this month from the Cumberland Rotary Club.
