Three Cumberland Men arrested on Crack Cocaine charges

On Thursday members of the Allegany County Narcotics Task Force, with the assistance of the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office and Cumberland Police Department, arrested Gary Wayne Shriver III, Shaun Aaron Brooks, and Anthony Maurice Ross Sr., Cumberland, in the 300 block of Virginia Avenue Cumberland, MD.

 

Shriver, Brooks and Ross had been the subject of an investigation into the distribution of crack cocaine in Allegany County.  Through the investigation, it was learned all three individuals were working together to distribute crack in the Allegany County area. During the arrest, investigators located felony amounts of crack cocaine packaged for resale. 

 

  

 

As a result, Gary Wayne Shriver II, Cumberland, Shaun Aaron Brooks, Cumberland, and Anthony Maurice Ross Sr., Cumberland, were charged with the following:

 

-       CDS POSS W/INT TO DIST

-       CDS DIST-NARC

-       CON-CDS DIST-NARC

-       CON-CDS DIST-NARC

-       CON-CDS: POSS W/I DIST: NARC

-       CON-CDS: POSS W/I DIST: NARC

-       CDS: POSSESS-NOT MARIJUANA

 

 

Following their initial appearance, Shriver and Brooks were held without bond.  Ross was held on $50,000 bail. The investigation is ongoing.
