West Virginia State Police are investigating a head on crash that occurred just before 4 PM on Route 28 near Buffalo Hollow Road in Hampshire County.
Three people reportedly were killed when a car and truck collided. Names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Both drivers and a passenger in the car are among the dead.
Traffic was tied up for an extended period during the emergency response and clean up of the mishap.
