Times-News Announces Subscription Hike

Another rate hike is on the way for Total Access subscribers to the Cumberland Times News. According to a letter dated August 1st, but only reaching many this weekend, the price is going up to $21.99 for seven day and $20.99 for weekend subscribers in Maryland, and $20.75 for seven day and 19.80 for weekend subscribers in West Virginia.  That represents a 20% increase.

    This one may be the “Kiss of Death” for them, with poor service, late news, Lack of ads & don’t care attitude of some employees (NOT ALL)

    The increased costs of the paper will not make the free blather of radio talking heads like Hannity and Rush worth any more than it is now.

    Is the parking permit going up too? LOL.
