If you have been listening to radio over the last few weeks, you have probably heard commercials urging retailers not to sell tobacco to minors. This is part of a new campaign by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH), that is designed to stop tobacco sales to minors. This is apparently a growing problem according to Howard Haft, Deputy Secretary for Public Health, for DHMH.
