Today is Deadline to Apply for Disaster Relief Aid

Allegany and Washington County residents impacted by the extreme flooding that took place June 12, 2014, have until today to apply for state and federal disaster relief aid. Impacted residents who apply may receive up to $5,000 in assistance to pay expenses for temporary housing, medical needs (including mental health and dental needs), moving and storage, personal property (including clothing, essential tools and equipment and vehicle damage), and emergency housing.
