The Allegany Tourism department may be undergoing some changes in the coming year as the county’s fiscal crunch continues to be felt across the board. In the past two decades tourism has undergone a number of transformations- going from a county operation, to the private sector, to the Chamber of Commerce and most recently back under the umbrella of county control. Tourism Director Barb Buehl met with the commissioners last week to discuss the potential changes that are resulting from a declining budget. Commissioner Mike McKay tells WCBC News that taking a close look at what has worked and what hasn’t worked in tourism operations will be a priority in the next few months…
