Towson University Decides to Trim Two Teams

According to WBAL News, Maryland’s second largest university will cut two programs next year. Towson University has decided to cut both the men’s baseball and soccer programs from the university. Officials at the university point to long-term financial stability, compliance with Title Nine requirement and the ability to be more competitive in other sports as the main reasons for the trim.
