According to Emergency Management a tractor trailer struck electric lines in the area of Front Street in Cumberland. Traffic is being rerouted in the area, including Henderson Avenue and Glenn Street due to downed power lines. A spokesman for Potomac Edison reports that initially the accident left more than 500 customers on the east side of Cumberland without power, but that number was down to around 60 by noon. All were expected to be restored within a few hours this afternoon. WCBC will provide additional information as it becomes available.
