Trone and Parrott Will Meet in November Election

Tuesday’s primary races for Maryland’s 6th Congressional District seat were not competitive with incumbent Democrat David Trone and Republican Delegate Neil Parrott each scoring easy wins in their party and will now face off in November’s general election.  Trone, seeking a second term, defeated Maxwell Bero taking 78% of the vote district wide including 84% in Allegany County. Parrott, who represents District 2A in the Maryland House of Delegates, outdistanced two GOP opponents Tuesday scoring 65% of the vote in the district- but just 55% in Allegany County. Trone, who Parrott labels a carpetbagger who is out of touch with Western Maryland, says that he has spent much of his first term building a team of state and county leaders to address the needs of Allegany and Garrett counties…

Parrott told WCBC News Tuesday that his priority as both a delegate and as a candidate is to see Maryland’s economic reopen…
