UPDATED 8 PM: The left lane of Interstate 68 at the site of the incident has been reopened to traffic.
INITIAL REPORT: Allegany County 911 has dispatched police, fire and EMS units to the eastbound lanes of Interstate 68 in LaVale due to a tractor trailer fire.
Interstate 68 is shut down in that location.
An eyewitness tells WCBC News that the smoke from the fire is so thick, it is causing visibility issues.
