Tuition fees hike

University of Maryland system students will have to dig deeper to pay for their education. The Board of Regents voted to raise tuition and fees by about 3 percent. The diamondback.com reports that out-of-state students can expect rates to go up by nearly 4 percent. In-state students will see tuition go up by $253. Grad students can expect bills to jump by about 4 percent. Across the system, the largest increase will be at Salisbury with a 6 percent rise in fees and tuition. This is the fourth year that costs have gone up in the state system.
