Two Area Men Arrested On Animal Cruelty Charges

On Tuesday,  members of the Allegany County Sheriffs office arrested Jamie Wayne Villa 19 years old of Frostburg, Maryland and Christopher Allen Fazenbaker 25 years old of Lonaconing, Maryland on charges steming from a 1 week investigation involving the shooting of darts using blow guns at domestic cats in the Georges Creek area. Several 4 inch darts were located at different locations. 3 blow dart guns were recovered during the investigation. The investigation revealed that Fazenbaker, Villa and a 17 year old Juvenile were shooting random cats with blow dart guns. One of the cats recieved a 4 inch dart into its neck area. As a result, Fazenbaker and Villa were charged with 1 count Attempted Animal Cruelty, 1 Count Animal Cruelty, 3 counts Contribute to the Conditions of a Child, 3 counts Litter/Dump: Under 100 lbs, 1 count disturbing the peace. Villa was held on $5000 bond and Fazenbaker was held on $3500 bond. The juvenile was referred to the Dept. of Juvenile Services.
