Two Charged After Centre Street Complaint

On Saturday, Cumberland Police responded to a residence located in the 600blk of Centre St in reference to a disturbance complaint.

Upon arrival Officer’s contacted the subjects involved. A wanted check was performed on the subjects which revealed that there were active arrest warrants for each of them. As a result officers placed 26 year old Jakeenan Jennings and 28 year old Jessica Tallman both of Cumberland under arrest.

Both subjects were transported to Police Headquarters where they were served the Bench Warrants for failing to appear in District Court on Theft related charges. Both were taken for initial appearances at District Court where they were released on their personal recognizance pending their next court appearance.

Later in the day, at 10:14pm, officers with the department again responded to the residence in reference to another disturbance.

Upon arrival Officers located the subject who was arrested earlier identified as Jakeenan Jennings yelling and screaming. Jennings was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. Jennings was charged with disturbing the peace and failure to obey a lawful order.

Jennings was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where he was released on his personal recognizance pending trial.
