On May 2nd, 2015 at approximately 0034 hours, units from the MSP Cumberland Barrack responded to a single vehicle collision on eastbound I-68 near the 37mm. One of the adult passengers, James Aloysius Wathen 21 y.o.a. of Brandywine, MD was pronounced dead at the scene. TROOPER-5 transported a 4 year old child to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, where she later dead. Also, transported to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center were; a 2-year old child, mother of the children (Kimberly Garcia) of Brandywine. MD and the vehicle driver (Kristian Loriston) of Monessen, PA where they are being treated for their injuries.
