Two vehicle accident involving pedestrian sends one woman to Shock Trauma unit

On 2/21/20, around 0805 hours, Troopers from the Maryland State Police Hagerstown Barrack responded to the report of a motor vehicle collision on E/B I-70 E/O Saint Paul Road. On scene investigation determined that a silver Chevy Impala, driven by 45 year old Penny Upton of Hancock, made an unsafe lane change and struck a white Saturn Vue, driven by 30 year old Kayla Stanley of Martinsburg. The collision caused the Chevy Impala to lose control and overturn off the right side of the roadway.

 

Penny Upton was flown to Baltimore Shock Trauma for her injuries. 19 year old Brittany Upton, a passenger in the Chevy Impala, was transported to Meritus Medical Center for minor injuries.

The driver of the Saturn Vue was not injured in the collision.

    Unless I’m not reading correctly, I don’t see any mention of a pedestrian in the report. The title of the piece mentions a pedestrian getting injured.
