Upset Customer Winds Up In Jail

On Saturday December 31, 2016, at 5:18 am, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a business on Virginia Avenue in regards to an unruly patron.

Upon arrival officers observed Danyel Morris, age 32, yelling and cursing at store personel over a questioned transaction that Morris did not agree with. Officers repeatedly advised Morris to lower her voice but she continued her disruptive behavior.

Officers proceeded to place Morris in custody but she flailed her arms in order to avoid being arrested. Once secured, she was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department.

A further search of her belongings revealed that she was in unlawful possession of narcotic pills. Morris was transported to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing. She was held on a $3,000.00 dollar bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

CHARGES: CDS Possession-Not Marihuana. Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest.
