4 PM UPDATE: Three people have been transported to Western Maryland Medical Center from the scene of the accident.
Traffic, which had been at a standstill for about an hour, is now flowing again.
INITIAL REPORT: Allegany County 991 has dispatched police, fire and rescue units to US Route 220 near the intersection of Skipton Lane in Rawlings for a vehicle accident with injuries.
US 220 has been shutdown at that location.,
