Vale Summit Residents Receive False Fire Coverage Notices

Allegany County Commissioner Creade Brodie Jr. reported last week that he and several neighbors in the Vale Summit area have recently received notices in their mail boxes that fire and rescue service was no longer available. Those notices distributed by unknown sources shortly after it was announced at a public county commissioners meeting that the Clarysville Volunteer Department was being shutdown as a result of financial problems. Brodie said that the notices are not accurate- and that the community is covere by way of a mutual aide agreement. He says there should be no concerns about fire protection at this point…
