Valentine Criticizes Caporale on Social Media Post

Although there is one Democrat and one Green party candidate running for a seat on the Allegany County Board of Commissioners this year- most believe the next board could essentially be determined by the Republican June Primary. There are 8 Republican candidates including the three incumbents. With the primary now a little more than a month away- that campaign is starting to heat up. Appearing on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” Tuesday, Commissioner Bill Valentine was critical of a social media post which featured fellow commissioner Jake Shade and candidate Dave Caporale identifying them as fiscal conservatives running for the office. Valentine said that he finds it hard to view Caporale-  currently a Cumberland City Council member- as a fiscal conservative after he voted to approve a nearly 10 percent tax hike for the city just last year…
