On Tuesday, July 23, 2013, the Franklin Detachment of the West Virginia State Police, was called to investigate a single vehicle crash on US33, between Riverton and Macksville, near Seneca Rocks.
A Ford F150, driven by Dana Nicole Davis, exited the north roadway edge and rolled over an embankment. Mrs. Davis succumbed to her injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, an 11 month old child survived the crash, with injuries.
Sergeant A.D. Teter, of the West Virginia State Police, Franklin Detachment, is the investigating officer and was assisted by Seneca Rocks Volunteer Fire Department, Circleville Volunteer Fire Department, North Fork and Franklin Rescue Squads and Pendleton County Tactical Skills Team.
