October 13th, 2012 by WCBC Radio

On Friday morning,  an officer stopped a vehicle on Virginia Avenue for not displaying a license plate on the front of the vehicle.  The officer after contacting the operator of the vehicle requested a K9 scan of the exterior of the vehicle.  A K9 unit arrived and a scan was conducted showing a positive alert.  A search was conducted based on the alert.  Brandon Michael Holliday and Gary MacGleen Spencer Jr. were taken into custody after officers located a pill container with several baggies of heroin located next to both subjects.  Both subjects were transported to Cumberland Police Headquarters for processing and to await a hearing in District Court.  Spencer was released at his bond hearing pending trial in District Court.  Holliday was held on $4,000.00 bond.
