August 16th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

A man wanted in Grant County was wounded in the hip after pointing a loaded handgun at Mineral County Deputies Friday evening.

Deputies were on patrol in the West End of Keyser and advised an initial subject to leave railroad property. Logan Adam Bowman then approached and was found to be wanted. During the arrest, Bowman pointed the gun at a deputy, who deflected it, and then other deputies took cover before one of them fired the disabling shot. Bowman was taken to UPMC Western Maryland by Trooper 5.

He's been charged with three counts of attempted murder and, as is normal procedure, the investigation is being handled by West Virginia State Police. None of the deputies were injured.
