Earlier this week, Johnson & Johnson was ordered to pay more than half a billion dollars to the state of Oklahoma for their involvement in the state’s opioid epidemic- and local officials in Maryland are hoping for a similar outcome with their lawsuit. Washington County attorney, Bruce Poole, is representing Allegany County, the cities of Cumberland and Frostburg among others suing Johnson & Johnson. At a Cumberland press conference with county and city officials on hand, Poole said his law firm is working to prove what the company did and also show what the impact has been in Maryland…
