There has been a water line break on Paca Street, and it will be closed for the remainder of the school day. This street closing will result in a new traffic pattern at dismissal from West Side Elementary School. All students being picked up by parents, as well as walkers, will be dismissing from the Greene Street side of the school. No vehicles will be permitted to turn off of Greene Street onto N. Chase Street, as that route will be designated for buses only. The school administrators suggest that parents find a place to park and walk to the school playground to pick up their students today. Additionally, the following programs are cancelled at West Side today: Grade 3 Grandparents’ Day Program, Afterschool Program, and the Chinese Afterschool Program. The school system thanks parents and grandparents for their cooperation today.
