City water department workers were expected to complete repairs to a broken 18-inch water main that occurred Friday on Route 51 in the Messick Road area.
The break was discovered at about 9:30 a.m., and repairs were expected to be completed by mid-afternoon Friday, according to Tracy Watkins, administrative associate in the city’s water distribution office.
The repairs reportedly caused a shutdown of water service on Route 51 from Messick Road to PPG Road, including Uhl Highway and Mexico Farms.
