Website Ranks Cumberland 13th In Small City Job Growth

In a new report issued by NewGeography.com- Cumberland ranks 13th in the country in 2012 small city job growth. Cumberland jumped 19 places from last year’s study and ranks ahead of State College, Winchester and Morgantown.  NewGeography.com is a site devoted to analyzing and discussing economic and employment trends across the nation. According to the website, the index is calculated from a normalized, weighted summary of recent growth trend: the current and prior year’s employment growth rates, with the current year emphasized as well as long term projections.  Mayor Brian Grim tells WCBC News that this and other recent studies all point to the positive strides Cumberland has been making in recent years…
