West Virginia Fairs and Festivals can be held as of July 1st

Just a week after Mineral County officials made the decision to cancel this summer’s fair due to the Coronavirus restrictions- West Virginia Governor Jim Justice announced Thursday that fairs and festivals can be held beginning July 1st. The state is now into week 6 of its reopening with movie theatres and casinos opening this weekend.  Regarding fair and festivals, the governor- in his daily COVID-19 briefing- said there will be strict guidelines in place when those larger scale events begin next month. In addition the governor announced that he is increasing the cap on public gatherings from 25 to 100 effective at midnight
