Tri-Towns Pharmacy robbed

August 3rd, 2012 by WCBC Radio

On Thursday,  at approximately 4:30 PM a lone suspect entered the Tri-Towns Pharmacy in Westernport. The suspect approached the counter and handed an employee a black colored backpack and demanded that they fill it with narcotics. While doing so, the suspect was touching what the employee thought may have been the handle of a handgun in the waist band of his pants. The employee complied with the demand and handed the backpack back to the suspect. The suspect exited the building and fled on foot.
The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. With the assistance of the Maryland State Police, a K-9 dog and it’s handler from the Maryland Natural Resources Police, and Maryland State Police helicopter “Trooper 5”, a search of the area was conducted, but the suspect was not located. The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5-06 to 5-08 in height, and thin build. He was wearing an orange colored fleece jacket, “baggy” blue jeans, white sunglasses, black mask, and gloves.
