Westmar Middle School Principal Gives Update On Effort To Increase Physical Fitness

As part of this month’s meeting of the Allegany County Board of Education, Westmar Middle school principal Toby Eirich provided an update on efforts to increase physical fitness at Westmar, including plans to build a new $90,000 walking track around the school’s entire athletic area. According to Eirich, the walking track has an estimated price tag of about $90,000. It will require securing $81,000 in state bond funding and raising $9,000 through local fundraising drives in the community.
