According to sources close to the situation, Frankfort Head Football Coach Kevin Whiteman has been cleared of all charges by a unanimous grand jury decision Tuesday afternoon. Whiteman was placed on administrative leave by the school board until a police investigation was completed earlier this year due to allegations of misconduct with students. According to a source, the grand jury met at 4 p.m. Tuesday, deliberating for tow hours – returning an unanimous 16-0 decision clearing Whiteman. Whiteman is expected to be reinstated at Frankfort High School, but the decision is ultimately up to the Superintendent of Schools in Mineral County.
