Williamsport Man Charged For Threats Against a Hagerstown Business

Deputy State Fire Marshals investigated an incident involving threats and misuse of a telephone during the weekend of December 19th and 20th. Mr. William James Robinson (52) was taken into custody at his home in Williamsport after investigators determined he was responsible for calling the Simple Pleasures business located at 11000 Bower Avenue in Hagerstown. He repeatedly made fifteen separate verbal phone threats to the owner of the business to include burning the business down and blowing the place up.
Deputy State Fire Marshals secured a warrant for Robinson’s arrest and he was taken into custody today without incident and transported to the Washington County detention Center where he currently remains on a $60,000 bond. He was charged with (2) counts of Arson/Explosive Threat and one count of Telephone Misuse. If convicted of the charges, Robinson faces up to 23 years imprisonment and/or $20,500 in fines.
