Winter Storm Warning Downgraded To “Advisory”

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT WEDNESDAY… …WINTER STORM WARNING IS CANCELLED… The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow and low wind chills, which is in effect until 2 PM EDT Wednesday. The Winter Storm Warning has been cancelled.

* PRECIPITATION TYPE…Snow.

* ACCUMULATIONS…Additional 4 to 8 inches.

* TIMING…Snow showers, intense at times, will continue through midday Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…The heavy snow will create difficult travel conditions. Strong winds will lead to blowing snow and reduced visibility as well as possible power outages and tree damage. Low wind chills could lead to frostbite and hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

* WINDS…Northwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts around 45 to 50 mph.

* TEMPERATURES…Falling into the single digits tonight. Highs Wednesday in the teens.

* WIND CHILLS…Falling to around ten degrees below zero tonight into Wednesday morning.

* AFFECTED AREAS: EXTREME WESTERN ALLEGANY
