WMHS Earns Four-Star Rating

October 28th, 2015 by WCBC Radio

It seems to be the time of year for hospital rankings to come out. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services recently ranked over 5,000 hospitals.  No Maryland hospital received a Five Star rating, but six were given a Four Star Rating, including Garrett Regional Medical Center. Western Maryland Health System was in the next tier, earning a Three Star Rating.  Meritas Health in Washington County was given a Two Star Rating. A half dozen Maryland hospitals were rated with One Star, which may impact their abilities to collect on Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements.
