According to Allegany County Emergency Dispatch, there is currently a working fire on Hanover Street in Cumberland. Side streets in the area- Polk Street, Mechanic Street, as well as parts of Bedford Street are closed to allow crews to access hydrants and run fire hoses to fight the blaze. WCBC News will follow this story and provide updates as they become available.
UPDATE 7:50 AM – WCBC's Bryan Gowans reports from the scene that the fire is out and that while the house was occupied, no one was at home at the time of the fire.
