A consumer representative from the West Virginia Attorney General’s office will hold public events during September. The office representative will educate consumers on the latest scams in their area, provide tips on how to guard personal information and answer questions about consumer protection settlements.
Local events include:
• Sept. 1, noon to 1 p.m., Hampshire Committee on Aging, Birch Lane, Romney.
• Sept.14, 10 to 11 a.m., Keyser City Hall, North Davis St., Keyser.
• Sept 21, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Hardy County Commission on Aging, 409 Spring Ave., Moorefield.
• Sept. 22, noon to 1 p.m., Grant County Commission on Aging, 111 Virginia Ave., Petersburg.
