Young Leaders of County United Way Set To Hold Community Yard Sale

May 5th, 2017 by WCBC Radio

On Saturday, June 3, 2017, the Young Leaders of County United Way will hold their second annual community Yard Sale – New 2 You – to raise money for the organization’s Allegany County footprint.  The group is working once again in partnership with Frostburg State University to host the event, which will take place from 8am – 2pm at City Place in Frostburg.  Based on a similar program at Penn State University, which works with their local United Way, the goods available for sale will be collected from students at FSU.  Community members, specifically those who will be leaving for college in the fall, are invited to browse the items.  County United Way will continue to partner with Goodwill Industries, who will take all unsold items to their LaVale location.

Baked goods and drinks, donated by members of the Young Leaders, will be available for purchase during the sale.

Tax-deductible donations to Allegany County United Way will be accepted in lieu of purchases and can be made via cash or credit card.  Payments for goods can be made via cash or credit card.  Receipts can be provided upon request.  All sales are final.

All questions should be directed to Juli McCoy at United Way, 301-722-2700.
