Airport Improvements Discussed By Authority

January 30th, 2015 by WCBC Radio

The Potomac Highlands Airport Authority met last night at the terminal in Wiley Ford. The authority received an update on the plans and potential for funding a $32 million runway and expansion project that would tentatively be constructed from 2017 to 2022.   Part of the plan includes an industrial park which all thought could be a source of revenue for the airport, and a hub for economic development for the region. Most of the meeting was spent tending to reviewing and amending the bylaws, with several conflicts between Maryland and West Virginia law becoming apparent.  Authority members took part in a painstaking review of the bylaws and proposed changes.
