A campaign that began for some over a year ago culminated Thursday evening with the swearing in of Allegany County Commissioners Jake Shade, Creade Brodie Jr and Bill Valentine to four year terms. While Brodie and Valentine were incumbents, Shade is new to the office filling the seat that has been held the past four years by Mike McKay. The new board’s first official act was to unanimously vote Valentine in as Commissioners President. In opening remarks, Shade, Brodie and Valentine each sounded a theme of optimism moving forward…
