Salvation Army “Angel Tree” program booming success

For the past seven years, the Salvation Army has been holding a program that matches area children or “angels” in need with generous benefactors in the community- and in 2014 the community response was overwhelming. Through the Angel Tree Program, individuals, businesses and organizations are matched with angels and then purchase gifts and clothing to help provide these children a special holiday season.  According to Lt. Jim Dillingham, officer and senior pastor with the Salvation Army Cumberland Corps, this year’s efforts will help more than 700 children from Allegany and Garrett counties in Maryland and Mineral and Hampshire counties in West Virginia. He proudly announced on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” Wednesday that this year’s goal has already been met…
