Bedford Accident Severely Injures Motorcyclist

Pennsylvania State Police are seeking information on a farm tractor driver following a serious crash on Pensyl Hollow Road in Bedford County that caused severe injuries to an unidentified motorcyclist. The Cumberland Times News reports the crash occurred in Bedford Township just before 6 p.m. Tuesday as the driver of a trike motorcycle lost control on Pensyl Hollow Road near the intersection of Leister Road. The motorcycle then struck a garage and barn, police said. The driver was ejected from the motorcycle and flown by Life Flight helicopter to UPMC Altoona for treatment of serious injuries. Police are attempting to identify the motorcyclist. His identity will be released later, police said.

Police are seeking to identify the driver of a dark-colored or red farm tractor with a narrow front end that fled the scene of the crash.

The farm tractor driver was described as an older white male, possibly five feet eight inches to five feet ten inches tall with a thin build and wearing dark-colored work style clothing.
