Allegany County State’s Attorney Michael Twigg announced on Friday that the Grand Jury for Allegany County recently returned an indictment charging Marcus Logan Vaughn, 28, of Cumberland, with two counts each of Armed Robbery and First Degree Assault, as well as related offenses, stemming from two separate incidents. The first is alleged to have occurred in Frostburg on November 29, 2014, and the second allegedly occurred December 24, 2014 during a home invasion in Cumberland. Vaughn recently appeared in Allegany County Circuit Court and was held on a bond of $250,000 pending his next Court appearance. The case will be prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney Erich Bean. David Schram, of the Public Defender’s Office, will represent Vaughn.
